2. Are the nannies local and professionally trained?

Yes. All Costa Nannies caregivers are Costa Rican and have prior professional experience working with children, either independently or with families and institutions. In addition, they receive ongoing training and guidance through Costa Nannies to ensure consistent quality and safety standards

3. Do the nannies speak English?

Yes. All nannies go through an English evaluation process to ensure they can communicate clearly with international families. English levels range from conversational to advanced, depending on the role, and communication skills are a key part of our selection process

4. Is Costa Nannies a legally registered company in Costa Rica?

Yes. Costa Nannies is a legally registered Costa Rican company that operates in compliance with local labor, insurance, and business regulations. Our services are structured to provide legal clarity and protection for families and caregivers

5. What services do you offer?

We offer three main services: Travel Nanny, Babysitter, and Childcare for Events. Each service is designed to meet different family needs, whether you require full-time support during your trip or childcare for specific occasions

6. What is a Travel Nanny?

A Travel Nanny is a full-time caregiver who accompanies your family during your stay in Costa Rica. This service provides consistent childcare support and local assistance, allowing families to enjoy their trip with greater flexibility and peace of mind

7. How many hours per day does a Travel Nanny work?

The Travel Nanny service includes up to 8 working hours per day, plus a one-hour meal break. These hours can be flexibly distributed throughout the day depending on your travel schedule, activities, and family needs

8. How does the booking and payment process work?

To confirm a reservation, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining 50% must be paid at least three days before the service begins. All payments are processed through the platforms offered by Costa Nannies

9. Is the initial deposit refundable?

No. The initial 50% deposit is non-refundable, as it secures the nanny’s availability, scheduling, and preparation. However, cancellations due to force majeure may be considered on a case-by-case basis

10. What happens if we need extra hours?

If additional hours are required, the request must be communicated directly to Costa Nannies. Extra hours are subject to availability and additional fees, and all adjustments must be coordinated through the agency to ensure proper scheduling and compliance

11. Are the nannies insured?

Yes. All nannies are covered by occupational risk insurance as required in Costa Rica. Additionally, Costa Nannies maintains a civil liability insurance policy to provide an extra layer of protection for families and caregivers

12. Does Costa Nannies help with cultural activities?

Yes. Our nannies can support cultural exchange by sharing local customs, traditions, language basics, and family-friendly activities. This cultural element is a key part of the Costa Nannies experience and enriches the family’s stay

13. Can we meet the nanny before our trip?

Yes. Families have the opportunity to meet their nanny through a video call prior to arrival. This allows both parties to get to know each other, discuss expectations, and ensure a comfortable and confident start to the service

Our services are available in selected destinations across Costa Rica, depending on nanny availability and travel logistics. We focus on locations that allow us to provide consistent quality and reliable support
